Everywhere on this site the recipe count reads ∞. Barbot is the reason. This is what the AI bartender actually is, what it does, and where the line is between its judgment and yours.

Barbot is the conversational AI bartender inside the free Barsys AI app. Not a search box over a recipe database — a bartender. You talk to it the way you'd talk to the person behind the bar: "something smoky, not too sweet, and I only have bourbon and lemons." It answers with a drink — a full recipe, built on the spot, sized to your tin.

What it draws on

Three things, and it asks for none of them twice. Your bar: the inventory you keep in the app — Barbot builds from bottles you actually own. Your taste: every rating sharpens its picture of what you love; sweet, sour, smoky, boozy are dials it learns to set for you. The occasion: a Tuesday nightcap and a Saturday party are different briefs, and it treats them that way.

From answer to pour

A Barbot recipe isn't a paragraph you squint at while holding a jigger. It hands off directly to the hardware: on the Shaker Pro, the base weighs each ingredient live and the light tells your hand when to stop — then the motor finishes the mix in whichever of the three modes the drink calls for. The distance from "I want something with mezcal" to a finished drink is a conversation and a pour.

It also fixes things

Barbot moonlights as support. Tell it "the shaker won't connect" or "my pour isn't registering" and it walks you through the fix step by step — the same guided workflows in our owner's guide, delivered conversationally. For most issues you'll never need to write an email.

Where the line is

Barbot suggests; you pour. It never orders ingredients on your behalf, never overrides the recipe you chose, and its originals are labeled as its own. It's a tool with taste — but the taste that matters is still yours, which is why every drink it makes for you asks the same closing question: how was it? Answer honestly. That's how it gets better.
